China is making significant strides in CCUS technology development, leading the world in CCUS-related patents. The country has issued about 80 national policies related to CCUS and included it in its five-year plan for 2021-2025. However, challenges remain in scaling up implementation nationwide due to the lack of a successful business model and the absence of a mandatory legal framework.
